Catalina Metamorphosis is an immersive creative portrait experience designed around the entire transformation—not simply the time spent in front of the camera.

Your experience may include intentional preparation, styling, body painting, guided breathwork and water preparation, private boat access, underwater portraiture, professional water support, your design experience, and your chosen photographic artwork.

You are not simply handed a swimsuit and pushed overboard.

The experience begins before we ever enter the ocean.

We take time to prepare you mentally, creatively, and physically for what is coming — including guidance around movement, breath, the water, your visual concept, and how we want you to feel when you finally leave the boat.

The goal is not to make you perform.

It is to help you arrive.

Professional creative preparation is part of the Catalina experience, with body painting incorporated into select Metamorphosis experiences.

Your final look is designed intentionally around your concept rather than treating styling as an afterthought.

This is not about turning you into somebody else.

It is about exaggerating the parts of you we came here to uncover.

We will design that together.

Depending on your concept, your session may incorporate flowing fabric, gowns, bodysuits, swimwear, jewelry, body paint, or more elemental styling.

You do not need to arrive with an underwater wardrobe already figured out.

Catalina can absolutely lean into full siren imagery, but the experience does not require a tail to make the photographs feel mythic, feminine, or otherworldly.

Sometimes fabric, movement, body paint, and the ocean itself create something even more powerful.

Catalina is intentionally intimate.

This is not a crowded group excursion where you become one more person waiting for her turn.

Capacity is kept limited so each woman has space to be cared for, photographed intentionally, and fully immersed in her own experience.

You may share the larger Catalina day with a small group of women while still receiving an experience designed specifically around you.

The experience takes place on and around Catalina Island, California, aboard a private boat with access to the surrounding Pacific waters and iconic underwater environments.

Exact locations are chosen based on ocean conditions, safety, visibility, and where we have the best opportunity to create extraordinary work that day.

For the Catalina Metamorphosis experience, accommodations are included if you are traveling from more than 3hrs away. You’ll be taken care of the night before and the night following your experience, allowing you to arrive without rushing and come back to shore without immediately having to return to normal life.

Catalina is designed as a full immersive experience rather than a quick portrait session.

Your exact timeline will be provided before your trip and may shift slightly depending on ocean conditions, preparation, travel, and the needs of the group.
